Every year several thousand foster carers give
up fostering because of becoming
disillusioned by the service they receive from
their fostering agency. FCTA know that if the
initial anxiety about moving agency was reduced
more would continue to foster.
Foster Care Transfer Agent is a totally independent organisation whose aim to represent the best interests of foster carers. We are not tied to any fostering agency, Government Department or local council.
We want to help ensure the foster carers are treated fairly and valued for what they do for looked after children. Above all we want to ensure that experienced foster carers do not drift out of the sector because of dissatisfaction at not being valued.
Foster Care Transfer Agent is managed by Paul Syrett, who has many years experience in the social care sector and is supported by qualified social workers to provide professional and up to date advice.
